Celebrating diversity and the parallel missions of Chicago Abused Women Coalition (CAWC) and Mujeres Latinas en Accion (MLEA) to end domestic violence, the two agencies presented “Conexiones” on July 26, 2007. The event showcased Women Artists of Modern Mexico: Frida’s Contemporaries at the National Museum of Mexican Art while bringing together Chicago’s most prominent female business leaders to benefit services for domestic violence survivors and their children.
