Make a Difference
Serve others and be part of something bigger than yourself
Every day, you hear stories of abused women, men, and their children. You have asked yourself what you can do to make a difference. At CAWC, we have many different opportunities for you to roll up your sleeves and get involved. You can help us keep people safer directly, give them what they need to lead independent lives, and help push changes in law and our culture.
Specialized needs require special volunteers
Our wide range of services means we need professionals to help us with legal, financial, and psychological issues. If you have the professional skills we need to fulfill our mission, we have work for you.
Ways for everyone to help
When a community pitches in, we make the world a better place. From fundraising drives to donations to further involvement with our organization, we’re constantly looking for people like you to make a difference.
Volunteer your time and talents
We’re looking to train dedicated volunteers who are willing to share their talents in a wide variety of fields, including legal, financial, medical, educational, and others. Your talents and your commitment will help us change lives.
Help fulfill our wishlist
The adults and children at our shelter and non-residential programs need food, clothes, and other items to get through the day and to start their new future. Anyone can donate, and we encourage you to start drives and get as many people involved as possible.
Join the Associate Board
Young professionals from the Chicagoland area work together increase CAWC’s exposure to the community by obtaining additional resources to support CAWC programs. Your involvement makes us stronger.
Help us change the lives of even more people
We’ve made a difference. Your time and talents allow us to do even more.
