We honor the life, legacy, and birthday of Shawnquanice Kimbrough by turning love into action. 💜 On this meaningful occasion, we celebrate who she was, the love she gave, and the light she brought into this world—while committing ourselves to protecting and uplifting others in her name.
Shawnquanice tragically lost her life on 02/03/26 in a domestic violence incident after trying to leave. Her story is a heartbreaking reminder that walking away from an abusive relationship can be one of the most dangerous and traumatic moments a person can face. As we honor Shawnquanice’s birthday, let us transform remembrance into action and love into protection. Let’s come together as a community to uplift, protect, and empower women who deserve safety, healing, and hope. In honor of Shawnquanice, let’s be the reason someone finds the strength to keep going.

If you have created a Donor Advised Fund, you can recommend making a gift to CAWC.

Contact your employer to determine if they will match your gift to CAWC. If they have a matching gift program, your gift could double or even triple in value. If you send a form from your employer to CAWC, we can complete the paperwork and initiate the matching gift process.
