Even as CAWC expands trauma-informed programs and services, domestic violence rates continue to rise. In 2022, there were 37,236 calls made to the Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline – a 15% increase from 2021 and an alarming 50% increase from 2019. One of the groups most notably impacted is children: from 2021 to 2022, requests for children’s services increased 106% across the state of Illinois.
In the past year, CAWC provided essential domestic violence services to 1,097 adults and children. We are there to ensure that every survivor who seeks refuge and support at our doors receives the critical resources they need to rebuild their lives but we can’t succeed without you. If you have created a Donor Advised Fund, you can recommend making a gift to CAWC.
